AIPAC, the late Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, and the RJC have provided hundreds of millions in contributions to MAGA Trump and other right-wing Republican groups to bolster the Netanyahu government.

Emanuel’s speech, as reported by Politico, is expected to point out that Israel has become a pariah nation under the Netanyahu regime by its refusal to consider a Palestinian state, its thuggish tactics by settlers against local Palestinians, and its expansionist plans into territory called by their biblical names, Judea and Samaria.

Emanuel will also say that Israel is financially strong enough so that it no longer needs extensive military aid.  He also will criticize Benjamin Netanyahu as a divisive leader who has taken Israel in the wrong direction in its international diplomacy and domestic policies.

These messages resonate strongly in Democratic circles and among younger progressive and mainline Democrats.  It is also a slap at AIPAC and the elitist Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), and its main supporters, Israeli-born Miriam Adelson and wealthy Jewish financiers and tech moguls.

AIPAC and the RJC have spent hundreds of millions pushing Trump’s political agenda, even when it meant they were contributing to white nationalist MAGA supporters and supporting hateful immigration and anti-civil libertarian policies.

AIPAC and the RJC have already seen their huge donations wasted as Trump’s policies domestically and internationally have failed to advance their expansionist Israel agenda. The war against Iran that was promoted by Netanyahu and inside the U.S. by major pro-Trump Jewish groups has failed to return any positive results.

Trump’s popularity and his failed domestic economic policies have also made the RJC’s and AIPAC’s huge contributions worthless unless the Republican-MAGA plan to steal the upcoming midterm elections succeeds.

AIPAC and the RJC should also take credit for Trump’s dismal popularity rating: 59% of the country disapproves of Trump, and 54% said attacking Iran was a mistake.  Those are very bad betting results for political professionals.

But AIPAC and the RJC don’t want to acknowledge any change in their blind pro-Trump version of events. The RJC website boasts that “President Donald J. Trump has advanced American interests in the Middle East like no President before him” by attacking Iran with the assistance of the Israeli air force.  But this major attack has yet to yield any results, even as it has cost Americans billions.

These same groups ignore that Trump has given the nation a new Jewish target, “the Epstein class,” to mean wealthy men who abuse women and children, but get away with it because they pervert the law.

The RJC and AIPAC should also take credit for the rise in antiSemitism.  Both groups support Israel’s war policies, as well as their indirect support of white Christian nationalist groups who are in constant contact with MAGA Trump supporters.

Emanuel’s speech will highlight that AIPAC and the RJC have failed to advance the daily life of average Americans.  It will also show that Jewish Americans oppose the Netanyahu regime, the obliteration of Gaza, and the expansion of the Greater Israel into Judea and Samaria, wherever those boundaries are.

Wealthy Jews in the RJC have not accomplished anything by pushing the lie that American Jews are better off under a Republican administration.  That has never been true. American Jews have been Democrats since World War I and the administration of Woodrow Wilson.

That’s because the Republican Party in the 20^th Century was openly anti-Semitic until the 1960s. The RJC knows this, but instead pushed lies that Democrats are communists, and that Trump is “good” for American Jews when his anti-civil rights and corrupt self-dealing are recognized by all Americans but tolerated and encouraged by the RJC and AIPAC.

The speech by Emanuel will have repercussions in the American Jewish community and will start a new discussion about the relations between the U.S. and Israel.  It’s clear that Israel has diverged from its classic position as “a light unto all nations” under the Netanyahu regime.  The U.S. has similarly become a corrupt, corporate-run regime that openly disregards laws and wants to rewrite the Constitution.

The hundreds of millions in donations from the RJC, Adelson, and AIPAC elected and bolstered Trump and ensured that the country became more corrupt. They should be held accountable.

This is no surprise.  The nation is governed by a fascist criminal gang that is not opposed by feckless Democrats, and a population cowed into slumber either because they are working two jobs, are sucked into an endless spiral of credit card debt, or just have no hope for a future.

To fill these gaps, many Americans are enmeshed in social media, sports fanaticism, get-rich-quick schemes, crypto trading, or fantasy worlds with gremlins, witches, time machines, and Star Trek outer space.

This is understandable because things on Earth are not so great.

“The bad news is that just about every part of the country — even Minnesota — is seeing a decline in self-reported personal well-being and mental health. Likewise, people throughout the country trust institutions and their fellow Americans less. Overall, we are increasingly unhappy,” according to an article by Nicholas Kristof, in the New York Times.

Kristof then goes on to list how individual states rank in the “well-being” index.  He lists the top 10 states for well-being in the study, in order, as: Minnesota, New Hampshire, Iowa, Vermont, Massachusetts, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Utah.  Almost all states are Democratic.

The states at the bottom of this “well-being” index are mostly Republican: Louisiana is at the bottom, followed by New Mexico, West Virginia, Nevada, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas and South Carolina.

Predictably, Kristof ends the article on a happy note by using a quote from Abraham Lincoln, a Times favorite, “to bind up the nation’s wounds.”

Combatting the Media’s Naïve Liberal Optimism

It’s unclear why so many people in the media always put on a happy face when talking about Trump and his gang.  Reporters and cable news readers don’t have an obligation to say that things in the country will get better when they have no evidence of that.

The media’s other unchallenged belief is that all change is peaceful.  Absolutely not.  This is not evident in thousands of years of recorded history, yet the media persists in denigrating protests that turn violent, usually after a police attack, or wringing their hands when there is a violent protest. They would never discuss why the actions of Luigi Mangione, the man

accused of shooting the CEO of a health care company, had some merit, even though Mangione received significant support on social media, an often-cited measure of public opinion.

It’s not surprising that most young reporters today have no historical knowledge about the role of violent protests. There is no major social or political change in the US that has not had a violent component.

Without violent protests against the government and police, there would be no civil rights, women’s rights, abortion rights, environmental rights, Native American rights, gay rights, voting rights, union rights, animal rights, and anti-war protest rights.

This is because every major right achieved by Americans meant that you had to oppose the people who had control over you, usually through violence.  Slave holders did not want to voluntarily abandon their investments in slaves. Men who want control over women do not want to grant voting rights and abortion rights to women. Gay rights emerged to fight all forms of discrimination and violent attacks. The same is true for unions that sought to oppose management to secure better wages and working conditions.

Still, too many reporters and news readers have no awareness of history. Instead, they pick up on the prevailing behavior in corporate newsrooms that all violence that emanates from ordinary people is evil, but corporate and state violence is acceptable.  No wonder ordinary people feel helpless.

Kristof Misses Lincoln’s Main Point

Unfortunately, Mr. Kristof misses Lincoln’s main point.  His comments were made after the Civil War that killed over 620,000 Americans.  The issues that caused that war—slavery, secession, the need to produce a master class in the South—are all issues that are still with us today.  The MAGA Republicans, as reactionary conservatives who hate change, want to roll back the clock and re-interpret history. This explains the “Lost Cause” revision of the Confederacy’s loss in the Civil War, the rollback of Reconstruction, and the Great Replacement Theory from the Nazis.

The MAGA Republicans are the incarnation of the Confederates who want to erase voting access for Blacks, deprive women of their rights, impose wage slavery on ordinary people, avoid any war that does not benefit the corporate (plantation) owners, or just benefit themselves by stealing from the public (the Trump crime family).

Mr. Kristof’s article was published on June 6, 2026, a few weeks before the nation’s 250^th anniversary.

But what a sad Fourth of July 2026 this will be.

Uninformed and Beaten Down Americans

About two-thirds of Americans are so uninformed, selfish, delusional, and unhappy that they voted for a convicted felon, fake business success, liar, sociopath, and criminal to be president twice. Yes, two times.

Americans voted for Trump and his reactionary movement because they see they have a limited future. They make less than their parents, and Trump, their elected leader, gets to steal and grope anyone he wants with impunity from Congress, the judicial system, and the Supreme Court.

Unfortunately, ordinary people cannot get away with any of those crimes because they live in a system with police trained to use massive force against anyone who contests the civil order, especially against the federal government.  As we have seen, if ICE or cops kill someone, they have good odds of never facing any penalty.

So, Mr. Kristof’s naïve liberal optimism that the nation must “bind up its wounds,” along with another favorite quote from Lincoln used often in the New York Times about controlling “our better angels,” is grossly out of touch to describe the nation’s current fascist state.

Contemporary America is ruled by money.  The control is from the richest people obsessed with making more money, controlling who gets it, devising strategies to separate ordinary, uninformed people from their money, and then hiding the money where it cannot be taxed.

Everything in America is monetized, a buzzword for extracting the last dollar from Americans who are bombarded by ads to buy more, or finance more, or borrow more.  Americans are wage slaves, people who are targeted by unethical behavioral marketers at corporations to deprive naïve people of their money.

This explains the rise of crypto, offshore banking, gambling, pardons by Trump of financial fraudsters who pay millions for a pardon, and average MAGA supporters who steal and evade taxes, and will also probably never be prosecuted by the MAGA-controlled IRA.

So, as the nation approaches its 250^th anniversary, the elite say the looting of the country has just started. Trump has a few more years to build his multi-billion-dollar criminal empire.  His followers have the same time frame, and maybe longer if the wimpy corporate Democrats decide that stealing money from taxpayers could also benefit the Democratic Party elite.

But for average Americans, ‘fuh ‘gedda ‘bout it.

The USA’s best days are behind us.

Let the looting continue. No one will stop it.

Fraud is Trump’s signature crime.  He has now made it a pattern for other criminals to follow at the state and national levels by removing inspector generals at federal agencies, pardoning fraudsters, and dismantling consumer protection agencies, promoting cryptocurrencies that are being used as a leading medium of tax evasion and fraud, and pushing a libertarian policy at the state and federal levels that will remove fraud enforcement capabilities to protect average citizens.

But why would Trump make fraud the centerpiece of his criminal and sociopathic history?

Fraud is the societal glue that holds commercial and relational structures together.  When people enter business and personal relationships, it is based on a certain degree of trust. The engine behind fraud is deceit and greed.

If you want to destroy a society, you commit fraud on a massive scale to create distrust, fear, and uncertainty, and emotional and financial loss.  This is Trump’s goal.

Academics have identified fraud and the personality defects of those who perpetrate it.  The Journal of Forensic Accounting and Research found that fraudsters are driven by the “Dark Triad,” which consists of three negative traits: narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism, defined as “a personality trait characterized by interpersonal manipulation, a cynical view of human nature, and a cold disregard for morality to achieve selfish goals.”

The Journal of Corporate Criminality also has an excellent article on corporate psychopaths and people with “toxic and predatory personalities,” who have committed some of the largest frauds in history.

Trump’s Long History of Fraud

As of February 2026, Donald Trump’s fraud-related legal record includes both criminal convictions and civil liabilities, many of which have been significantly updated since his return to the presidency.

Criminal Convictions

“Hush Money” Case (Falsification of Business Records): In May 2024, Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels.

Sentence: On January 10, 2025, Judge Juan Merchan sentenced him to an unconditional discharge, meaning the conviction remains on his record as a felony, but he faces no jail time, fines, or probation.

Status: Trump is currently appealing the conviction by arguing he is shielded by presidential immunity

Trump Organization Tax Fraud: In December 2022, the Trump Corporation and Trump Payroll Corp. were convicted on 17 criminal charges, including conspiracy, tax fraud, and a scheme to defraud. The companies were ordered to pay a maximum fine of $1.6 million.

Civil Fraud Liability

New York Civil Fraud Case: In February 2024, a New York judge found Trump liable for a decade-long scheme to inflate his net worth to obtain better loan terms.

Current Standing: In August 2025, a New York appeals court overturned the $515 million financial penalty, ruling it “excessive” and a violation of the Eighth Amendment. However, the court upheld the finding of liability for fraud.

Restrictions: Other punishments, such as a three-year ban on Trump serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation, remain in place.

Trump University: In 2016, Trump settled three lawsuits for $25 million after he was found to have defrauded students through his real estate seminars.

Election-Related Fraud Allegations: Federal and state (Georgia) cases involving alleged election subversion and fraud were largely dismissed or dropped throughout 2024 and 2025 following his reelection, in accordance with DOJ policy regarding sitting presidents.

Trump’s Pardons of Fellow Convicted Fraudsters

Trump also loves fraudsters and has pardoned other convicted criminals.

Trump has used his executive power to pardon numerous individuals convicted of various types of fraud during his two terms as president.

Prominent Fraud Pardons (2017–2021)

• Paul Manafort: His former campaign chairman was pardoned for crimes, including bank fraud and tax fraud, related to his work in Ukraine.
• Michael Milken: A high-profile financier pardoned for securities fraud, mail fraud, and tax fraud.
• Charles Kushner: The father of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was pardoned for tax evasion and making false statements. He is a convicted felon and disbarred attorney.  In 2025, Trump named him the  US ambassador to France and Monaco. Charles Kushner also admitted to hiring a hooker to entrap his brother-in-law to gain an advantage in a business deal. Kushner said he personally recruited the prostitute and instructed that the videotape be mailed to the cooperating witness, according to the Justice Department.   
• Chris Collins: The first member of Congress to endorse Trump was pardoned for conspiracy to commit securities fraud (insider trading).
• Conrad Black: A former media mogul and Trump biographer pardoned for mail fraud and obstruction of justice.
• Dinesh D’Souza: A conservative commentator pardoned for campaign contribution fraud.
• Alfonso Costa: A former dentist and business partner of Ben Carson, pardoned for health care fraud.
• Steve Bannon: Pardoned for charges related to wire fraud and money laundering in the “We Build the Wall” crowdfunding campaign.

Recent Fraud Pardons (2025–2026) 

• Todd and Julie Chrisley: Reality TV stars pardoned in May 2025 for bank fraud and tax evasion involving more than $30 million in false financial statements.
• Trevor Milton: The founder of Nikola Corp., was pardoned in March 2025 for securities fraud and wire fraud after being convicted of lying to investors.
• Michelle Fiore: A former Nevada lawmaker pardoned in April 2025 for wire fraud related to the misuse of funds intended for a police memorial.
• Joseph Schwartz: A nursing home executive pardoned in November 2025 for a $38 million tax fraud scheme.
• Glen Casada & Cade Cothren: Former Tennessee political figures pardoned in November 2025 for honest services fraud and public corruption.
• Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, was pardoned for his role in a $60 million bond-fraud scheme.

How Trump Perpetuates Frauds

In addition to committing fraud himself and pardoning other fraudsters, Trump seeks to normalize fraud by making it easier for ordinary citizens to avoid paying taxes, launder money, deceive consumers, and undermine everyday commerce.

Just as Trump has literally taken a wrecking ball to the White House West Wing, and is now “remodeling” (aka demolishing) the Kennedy Center, Trump’s dystopian, death wish for the country as we know it includes the libertarian notion that only the strongest should survive, and the rest of the unsuspecting, uninformed population should be viewed as marks for fraudsters.

Trump and his followers have attempted to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Board, the leading federal agency that has taken on global banks for their programs to deceive and defraud customers and borrowers.  He fired 18 Inspector Generals (IGs) at federal agencies as of February 2026, who oversee spending and billing processes to prevent fraud and other abuses. During his first term (2017–2021), Trump also dismissed or replaced at least five IGs in a six-week span in 2020.  IGs are independent, nonpartisan “watchdogs” within federal agencies, overseeing government accountability and protecting taxpayer funds.

Crypto Currency: The Fraudsters Medium of Exchange

Since fraudsters steal money from their targets, they also need a fast, untraceable way to move it into accounts that can be easily accessed and withdrawn.  Enter cryptocurrency.

This deception medium makes it logical that the Trump crime family would have a significant presence in the crypto market.

During his second term, Trump has shifted the U.S. government’s approach to cryptocurrency, moving from his earlier skepticism to a more proactive “pro-crypto” stance. He did this by executive actions to establish a national Bitcoin reserve, the launch of major family-owned crypto ventures, and the overhaul of federal regulatory agencies (the SEC and CFTC) with crypto advocates.

For a quick killing, Trump has also sold wooden nickels, also known as “meme coins” or “branded tokens” to gullible followers, such as $TRUMP and $MELANIA, that brought him hundreds of millions in trading fees for the family.

Recognizing that crypto can be a great way to fund the Trump crime family’s retirement, the gang filed an ETF in February 2026 called the Trump Media and Technology Group.  The group also owns World Swap, a global foreign exchange and remittance platform.

Setting Up An Alternative Financial Reality to Hide Money

To correct the mistaken belief that the Trump crime family is always working for the benefit of taxpayers, the reality is that a number of Trump appointees and friendly billionaires have plenty of time to expand their crypto interests at taxpayer expense.

Here is a list of Trump allies who are very involved in crypto, even as the majority of average Americans would never have a reason to buy crypto, a useless medium of exchange for everyday people.

Eric & Donald Trump Jr.;  Barron Trump; Howard Lutnick, and his son, Zach, (Their family entities have received at least $31 million in upfront payouts from crypto deals); Robert Kennedy Jr.; David Sacks (Trump’s Crypto & AI Czar); Elon Musk; Tyler & Cameron Winklevoss; Brian Armstrong (Coinbase); and Justin Sun (Tron).

Trump has also used his name and access to host a crypto conference in February 2026, which attracted the heads of Goldman Sachs and NASDAQ, to widen the crypto net and eventually catch other unsuspecting investors.

Fraud is Part of Florida’s History

All this should come as no surprise that Trump lives in Palm Beach, Florida, the state with the highest incidence of fraud in the nation.

Florida, under the MAGA Governor Ron DeSantis, has done little to combat fraud.

Florida’s fraud statistics are startling.  The numbers are part of the state’s history, dating back to the famous Miami land scams that lasted from 1924 to 1926, when unsuspecting buyers from up north purchased lots that were underwater.  When the land bubble burst, aided by a large hurricane in 1926, it took down local banks, developers, and speculators.  Almost 100 years later, Florida remains attractive to white-collar thieves because of its wealth, transient population, and lax enforcement.

Florida’s white-collar criminal history has not escaped the notice of its political class.  Everyone, from governors to local elected officials, has benefited from fraud of all sizes. Today, Governor Ron DeSantis has not pulled the welcome mat for fraudsters in the Sunshine State.

The Republican mayor of Boca Raton, Susan Haynie, pleaded guilty in 2021 to misuse of public office, public corruption, and failure to disclose voting conflicts with two commercial real estate firms.  Florida MAGA Republican Senator and former governor Rick Scott was also the indirect beneficiary of the largest Medicare-Medicaid fraud scheme in U.S. history, a fraud scheme that was settled for $1.7 billion.  During the period when the fraud scheme was developing, Scott served as CEO and Chairman of Columbia/Hospital Corporation of America. He escaped prosecution and even received a bonus from the company.

While Florida is the nation’s third most populous state, it ranks first in the number of fraud reports filed by citizens, according to the site security.org.  The targets of fraud are often younger people, but people over 70 reported losing more money.  The typical person over age 80 lost $1,500, triple the loss of victims in their 20s, the FTC said in a press release.

The types of fraud most commonly reported in Florida include phony debt collections, identity theft, COVID-related federal fund distributions, impostor scams, credit bureau, banking and lending, mobile phone, and auto-related fraud (fake accidents and inflated repair costs).

So, if you want to commit fraud, come to Florida.  Everyone, including Trump and his family, lives in Florida.  Why miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime?

Why the Criminal Epstein Loved Florida

The state’s lax regulations and enforcement have also made it a haven for white-collar criminals, and now billionaires, who want to live in South Florida since the state has different rules for wealthy people. When Jeffrey Epstein was under house arrest in July 2009, he was regularly seen driving around town and going to lunch when he was supposed to be home, thanks to the lack of oversight by the police and the Palm Beach District Attorney’s office.

Specifically, “During the first nine months of his house arrest, Epstein made 14 trips to New York to meet with his attorneys and five trips to the Caribbean on business — always flying on his private jet, according to his daily logs required as part of his house arrest,” according to the Palm Beach Post.

This same Palm Beach Post article said that Epstein received special treatment while he was in jail.  “After pleading guilty, Epstein was taken directly from the courtroom to jail, where the special treatment continued. Epstein’s cell was not locked; he had free access to the attorney meeting room, where a new television had been installed. He was transferred to a private wing of the stockade after he agreed to pay the deputies to guard him.

“Epstein was also allowed out of the stockade for up to 12 hours a day, six days a week, on work-release after agreeing to pay off-duty deputies to guard him at his office at 250 Australian Ave. On workdays, Epstein’s driver picked him up at the stockade and drove him several miles to his office… at a nonprofit he founded seven months before he pleaded guilty.”

This same special treatment for a convicted sex criminal should apply to billionaires and white-collar fraudsters who move to South Florida.  In South Florida, they will be under the shadow of Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s home and the nation’s fraud headquarters.

ICE, Trump, and MAGA are all racists, so shooting Caucasians is bad for MAGA business.

As a paramilitary gang, which many people think is comprised of members from white supremacist groups, ICE is not supposed to kill white people.

But in Minneapolis this week, two white protestors (Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good) were shot dead in cold blood after they were tackled to the ground by thugs, or shot in the face by an ICE thug.

Killing white people on camera does not play well in MAGA-Trump-land.  The backlash from governors, some business leaders, the mayor of Minneapolis, and the governor of Minnesota all conveyed the shock of unarmed civilians being killed on the streets, while protestors are beaten up, tear gassed, maced, and terrorized. 

These Nazi tactics used by some other Trump heroes like dictators in Hungary, North Korea, Russia, China, Turkey, the Philippines, Egypt, El Salvador, Belarus, Iraq, Libya, and Saudi Arabia are acceptable to MAGA Republican supporters. The catch is that they must meet Trump’s announced goals of going after “the worst of the worst,” as long as they are Mexican, Haitian, Arab, or Somali.  That “worst of the worst” does not include Caucasians.

So, it was hard for Trump to justify the killing of two white people to his MAGA base, who voted for him and his racist policies twice in both elections.  The core group of MAGA supporters does not like to see other white people killed, not because they endorse their politics, but because the ICE agents cannot distinguish liberal whites from MAGA racist whites.

This presents a problem for MAGA supporters who could become afraid to go shopping when an ICE deportation raid begins, and they cannot prove they are a citizen.

These must have been the behind-the-scenes discussions in MAGA homes, who said, “I voted for Trump to get rid of the Hispanics and Blacks, but to leave the whites alone.”

It hasn’t worked out that way.

MAGA, Trump, and ICE Remain Racist

So, let’s not believe MAGA and Trump have changed their ways. They are still psychopaths, surrounded by other opportunist psychopaths who want to leave their Trump-inspired jobs with large pensions, benefits, and a pile of cases from insider trading.

ICE is a mercenary force hunting people for a profit. ICE dovetails with the for-profit prison system and Blackwater-type thug operations.  They are not a law and order enforcement agency, and that pillaging behavior accounts for their street thuggery. ICE is a for-profit operation, which explains why it needs a budget larger than the US Marines.  The media treats them as a “police force” when there is no evidence that they were ever trained, sworn in, or supervised by a qualified police academy.  This is why ICE does not cooperate with local police forces, or why they roam as a street gang.

Chief ICE gang leader Steve Miller will have to come up with a way for MAGA supporters to have proof of their patriotism and genetic pedigrees if they want to avoid ICE arrests from the street thugs hired by Kristi Noem, Dan Bovino, Steven Miller, and the bagman Tom Homan.

Don’t be fooled that ICE is going away.  The  ICE agents are comprised of the white supremacists and Christian nationalists who were pardoned by Trump as soon as he took office.  These are his Brownshirts, and since many are unemployable, they will do whatever he says to get their salaries, benefits, and bonuses. This is why they are engaging in an outsourced ethnic cleansing operation. Who knows: There may even be a secret bonus based on how many detainees can be maimed or shot.

In addition to the killing of two Caucasians, ICE has killed one Mexican (Silverio Villegas González), a Colombian (Brayan Garzón-Rayo), and a man from the Dominican Republic (Juan Alexis Tineo-Martinez). Others who have been shot were from Venezuela, Cuba, and an unidentified Latino man.

From the racist MAGA-Trump perspective, these are not the ratios you want to see. That’s why the shooting of two Caucasians raised some alarm bells in Trump’s gold gilded lair. Shooting whites is bad for MAGA business.

ICE has a multi-billion-dollar budget ready to be approved by all Republicans and even by some delusional Democrats, plus ICE is signing leases on secret detention centers, such as warehouses and old shopping centers, around the US, maybe even in a neighborhood near you.

Being a racist, anti-immigrant advocate is a core belief of MAGA Trump. That will never change. ICE is the arm of that bid to make the US racially pure, or at least to slow the demographic tide of the US becoming a nation where the majority of the population is Hispanic.  That demographic shift to the US becoming “minority white” is expected around 2025, and it terrifies the MAGA Trump population.

ICE was created to prevent or stall that inevitable demographic shift.  ICE is also symbolic, which explains why it borrows Nazi slogans, uniforms, policies, and training, along with policy input from goons like Steven Miller and Steve Bannon, and other racists from the Dark Web.

So, don’t believe the corporate media when they tell you Bovino and Noem could be removed. They never had careers in the Trump regime. Now, they can be hired by Blackwater or another mercenary outfit.  Their departures will not change anything or alter Trump’s racist core policies.

Even if ICE is disbanded, they will go underground and back to their hideouts as a white supremacists paramilitary force to do Trump’s bidding.  The Trump FBI and Justice Department won’t track or prosecute them, so they will get another “get out of jail free card.”

Minneapolis changed ICE policies because they killed white people, and that is not part of the MAGA buy-in. ICE remains very popular with Republicans, so as long as ICE continues to beat up, arrest, and harass Hispanics and Blacks, MAGA Republicans will endorse their policies.

These are your fellow Americans.  Get used to it.

His mental state is collapsing, but his followers deny it.

He is unstable, vindictive, and erratic.

Americans see it, but cannot change it.

No one is coming to the rescue in Congress, the press, or the courts.

The nation has never seen a mental case in the White House, but the nation suffers from the evil acts carried out by him and his mob.  His destruction of programs, research, and institutions will take a generation to recover.

The US’s reputation has been stained for decades.

A popular song by Gil Scott-Heron says, “The revolution will not be televised,” but this is wrong.  The revolution is on cable every hour of the day, live and in color. We see it in every city in the country.  The demonstrations show that people are disgusted, animated, and willing to act.

Citizen action took place through movements connected to civil rights, labor organizing, gay rights, Chicano organizing, anti-war protests, feminist rights, environmentalism, Native American sovereignty, suffrage, and voting rights.

Conflict was part of each movement.  Powerful people do not voluntarily give up power. Calls for peace and calm when confronting power have a role, but it is limited.

The Trump coup does not respond to the law, rules, norms, ethics, or rational discussion. Something new is needed.

Trump the Manhattan Con Artist and Criminal

Trump has been a sociopath his whole life. His record speaks for itself in both his business and personal life.  Trump has been married three times, divorced twice, and had at least one adulterous affair with the porn star Stormy Daniels, when his wife was pregnant with their son, Baron.  He also has a list of sexual misconduct allegations.

In business, a 2016 New York Times investigation of 61 Trump projects found that 21 were successful, 16 “had problems”, and 24 were failures.  This gave him a success rate of 34% to 40%, with about 60% categorized as failures. Trump has gone bankrupt six times between 1991 and 2014, including the Taj Mahal Casino and the Plaza Hotel.

His tax losses from 1985 to 1994 showed that his businesses lost over $1 billion, which puts him in the top individuals suffering losses. 

Now, Trump wants to be the man setting Federal Reserve policies, including interest rates.

Most recently, using his White House, Congressional, and lobbying connections, Trump and his family have entered the crypto market and private real estate deals that have netted the family $1.4 billion since he took office only a year ago, according to the New York Times.

Trump also has accepted personal payments from lobbyists, people seeking parole for friends and family members, and other gifts as part of his presidential role, all in violation of the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

So if the US, and now the world, is in economic chaos, it’s all understandable since Trump is mentally unstable and running riot in the US.

What is less explainable is why Americans voted for Trump twice to become president.  The problem with America is Americans.  About one-third of Americans voted for Trump twice in the pathetic belief that he could resurrect their lives, make them solvent or rich, protect their white history, and protect them from invaders.

America is lost.  The Europeans should resist Trump and do their best to prevent him from ruining their nations, as well.

This is because Trump is a lame-duck president who will be impeached if the Democrats take over Congress.  He is named in the Epstein Files as a protagonist, instigator, and participant in the child molestations, which is why he is engaged in the violent distractions and threats. He also faces jail terms and more fines if the Democrats can get competent prosecutors appointed when they take back the White House.

In essence, Trump is a criminal who knows he will be caught.  He is a wounded animal on the run. The question is, how long will he be free?  So in the interim, he and his followers will sow chaos, war, violence, lawlessness, and dissent

The US is now seen as a “global pirate” to board any ships that don’t send oil to the US.

This is an attempt to keep the US dollar as the only currency for buying oil.

If Venezuela sold its oil to China, China could require payment in yuan rather than the Dollar.

If that happened, US bonds would fall in value and demand a higher interest rate to remain an attractive investment. Higher interest rates would destroy the US economy.

Trump would then earn his place as the nation’s worst and most destructive president.

It’s also time to recognize that Trump is a strawman for a secret, wealthy group that is setting policy in all areas. Trump himself has never been capable of thinking a few steps ahead. The question: Who are the MAGA people behind Trump?

Maybe it’s the same neo-conservative think tanks behind Project 2025 and the failed Iraq war. Maybe these fake patriots want to do something insane and drastic to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by dragging it through the mud of their attempted conquests of friendly countries.  But this is a topic for later.

The greatest danger to Americans is not rising health care premiums, abandoning a century of proven vaccines and innoculations against disease, but stupidity.

AI should be considered one of the greatest inventions of all time.  It ranks at the apex, along with the invention of the wheel, internal combustion engines, electricity, and the cell phone.

AI is here at an opportune time in American history. Americans score low in worldwide tests that measure their knowledge of finance and politics, and it shows in how Americans vote and how they spend their money.  AI, if properly applied as a powerful household tool, can save American voters from making stupid mistakes.

As the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in July, AI can be used in the next election to save at least half of Americans from themselves.  That’s right: the greatest danger to Americans is not rising health care premiums, abandoning a century of proven vaccines and inoculations against disease, but stupidity.

About one-third of the nation (77 million people) voted for Trump. Worse, they did it twice, even after he was convicted of 34 felonies in May 2024 in a New York District Court.  Subsequently, in the 2024 election, according to Inside Higher Ed, 61% of men without a college degree voted for Trump, versus 48% of college graduates. The same was true of women, 45% of whom, without a degree, voted for Trump, versus 37% of graduates, according to a recent letter to the editor in the New York Times from Michael Hadjiargyrou of Centerport, N.Y.

Education makes for a more informed electorate, so it is expected that Trump and his regime will ransom the nation’s major universities for money and tribute to diminish their standing.

A Malignant Narcissist to the Rescue

Political pundits, political scientists, elected officials, and ex-presidents have all expressed disbelief that half the population voted for a known scam artist, convicted criminal, sex offender, tax cheat, adulterer, bankrupt businessman, who raised a family that was prevented from ever running a charity in New York because they embezzled from the donated funds.

Millions of Americans wonder why Trump has never been jailed, and they are right. The answer is that Trump was raised and matured his business larceny and fraud skills as a member of the upper echelons of Manhattan business and social society. Manhattan has to claim credit as the most corrupt business center in the country.  All rules and regulations can be bent.  There is always a back door to getting things done.  There is always an envelope to be passed or a permit to be issued at midnight. Millionaires and billionaires thrive in this swamp, and they make swarmy business deals secret and routine.

Trump is a product of this corrupt culture.  Bankers, lawyers, courts, cops, realtors, doctors, tax lawyers, divorce lawyers, unions, zoning boards, city councils, attorney generals, and sex addicts were all Trump accomplices, aiders, and abetters.

Since he was rich and Caucasian, and has the snake oil salesman’s charm, he walked away from many felonies.  And because NBC made him a TV star in the same category as Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, Judge Judy, Dancing With the Stars, The Gong Show, and America’s Worst Home Videos, Trump not only escaped prosecution but also turned his sociopathy into a moneymaking platform.

That’s a trick reserved for the best con artists in history. Ask Charles Ponzi and Senator Rick Scott, who headed a company that pulled off the largest Medicare and Medicaid scam in history and walked away a multi-millionaire, who then went on to become Florida governor and now, its Senator.

These conmen and women are not alone. There are thousands of them in the MAGA sphere. These are people who probably will evade taxes, run red lights, scam contractors, and put their fingers on the scale for every purchase made in their stores.

However, millions of other Americans voted for Trump, believed his lies, and neglected his pathetic, low-life, sex addicted, and criminal history.  This is the so-called “MAGA base,” a label that will live in infamy as being a collection of either “deplorables” (Hillary Clinton) or numbskulls who unexplainably voted against their own interests (the description used by most sane political commentators).

Unfortunately, the MAGA base cannot be easily classified.  They are rich, poor, and pathetically poor.  They are men, young machos, and women who need a father figure.  They are Caucasian, Black, Mexican, Asian American, and South American.  But most of all, they are afraid, feel neglected, cheated, are unable to attain the traditional American Dream, and, to put it politely, range from uninformed to dumb.

AI Can Not Prevent Stupidity

This is where AI can help.

For the next presidential election in 2028, AI should be AI squared compared to today. Americans who are politically and financially uninformed can use AI to input their financial, family, individual, and community needs into an AI questionnaire and get back theright

answer about who to vote for.  No need for the sameple ballot from the League of Women Voters (handy, but limited).  AI can personalize the search, so dumb voters can consult AI in the privacy of their own homes, trailers, condos, and vans down by the river.  Idiocracy (2006)

AI can prevent American voters from ruining their own lives by voting for convicted criminals, sex traffickers, and billionaire tax cheats.

AI can prevent MAGA throwbacks from claiming to be the “New Trump” or the successor to someone who should have been living under a bridge for the last decade.  (No offense to people living under bridges.)

AI can show voters which candidate has a platform that aligns with their interests, including their tax bracket and views on American intervention overseas, spending, Social Security, Medicare, the environment, and other policy issues. It can show the candidate’s voting records, past policy positions, and social media posts about how they feel on key issues.

In short, AI can prevent voters from degrading their own financial and social status.  If the Dems develop an AI app, it could guide millions into making sane decisions.  In short, AI can save MAGA voters from themselves.  The question is whether they want to be saved, or like voting for political sadists.

Since about 1991, the US has spent about $14.2 trillion to finance some 13 wars, or more than the total spent by the world’s eight most significant military powers.

Most Americans never hear about American colonialism or the US government’s coups and coup attempts, but this is what is playing out before everyone’s eyes as Trump tries to muscle his way into Venezuela, its vast oil and natural resources, and precious metals reserves.

Even more important, Trump and his imperialist backers want to silence the socialist government of Nicholas Maduro, the democratically elected president.

American coup attempts worldwide are not new. Since about 1991, the US has spent about $14.2 trillion to finance some 13 wars, or more than the total spent by the world’s eight most significant military powers.

These wars were the Gulf War (1991), the Kosovo War (1999), the Afghanistan War (2001), the Iraq War (2003), the Libya War (2011), and the Syria War (2011).  This does not include the secret murders, coups, and government destabilization and dirty tricks done by the US government, CIA, and its mercenaries who overthrew governments that were not “cooperative” or malleable to US foreign policy, the World Bank, IMF, and other supra-national international banking entities.

Why were these wars conducted, and who did they benefit?

The answer is obvious: average citizens paid for the war, and some corporations in very select industries (oil, energy, defense, electronics, security, and mercenaries) walked away wealthier.  Most Americans never knew what the wars were about.

Worse, these nations became poor because they were saddled with huge debts from international development banks that could never be repaid. The gains in GDP that these nations could have produced went to debt payments, while their governments were taken over by puppet dictators beholden to the US.

This is how Trump and his immediate predecessors, including President Barack Obama and Joe Biden, all neoliberals, have been trying to overthrow the Maduro government for 20 years.  This has involved sanctions starting in August 2017, when Trump policies caused the Venezuelan government to lose about $6 billion in illicit revenues, or 6% of the country’s GDP, in about one year.

Obama’s attack on Venezuela began in March 2015 when he declared that Venezuela was a threat to US security.  This claim that Venezuela was “a threat to national security” was also used by Ronald Reagan when he declared that Nicaragua was a threat.  Reagan used this as a pretext to back the Sandinistas, who were later integral to the famous Iran-Contra Scandal that involved Reagan, the CIA, and clandestine shipments of arms to Nicaragua in exchange for drugs.  All of this was engineered, executed, and approved by the CIA and the Reagan regime.

Trump’s 2017 sanctions prevented CITGO, based in Texas, from sending its profits and dividends back to Venezuela.  This was calculated at a $1 billion annual loss in exports from 2015.  This prevented PDVSA, the Venezuelan national oil company that owned CITGO, from obtaining loans and engaging in other business operations that were supposed to be repaid from oil revenues.

This loss from oil exports (paid in US dollars) soon reached $6 billion and reduced the amount of money the Venezuelan government needed to import crucial goods, including food and medicine.  In a 2019 paper by Jeffrey Sachs and Mark Weisbrot (“Economic Sanctions and Collective Punishment: The Case of Venezuela,” CEPR, April, 2019), it was stated that the shortage of medicine led to a 31% increase in mortality among Venezuelans.  “In a civilized world, these sanctions would put numerous high-ranking US officials in jail for murder,”  Joe Emersberger and Justin Podur wrote in an article, “The Guido Era: A Sixth, Very Long Coup Attempt.”  (Monthly Review June 2021).

In December 2018, Trump seized Venezuelan assets in the US.  This meant that Venezuelan oil shipped to the US would never be paid for.  To ratchet up the pressure, Trump used his hatchet men, Rex Tillerson, the Texas oilman, and later, Mike Pompeo, Elliott Abrams, and John Bolton, to threaten the Maduro government.  Bolton also had a significant role in the Iraq War, which cost an estimated 500,000 lives and triggered a refugee crisis that destabilized Europe and the Middle East.

Trump first used the threat of a military option in August 2017.  In May 2020, US mercenaries attempted a coup against Maduro, but were repulsed by the Venezuelan army and armed citizens.  Secretary of State Pompeo said the US was not involved, but the attack was clearly consistent with US policy.

By 2020, Trump said Maduro was behind a cocaine export business to the US.  IN Trump’s second term, he renewed his attacks on Venezuela and Maduro as a continuation of his fossil fuel platform, and as a sop to his oil donors, the Koch brothers and Harold Ham, the Texas oilman and major Trump donor.

In late August 2025, Trump ordered the US Navy to start sending ships to Venezuela to threaten or support an invasion.  At about this same time, Trump and the Navy began destroying civilian small craft that the feds said were trafficking cocaine or other drugs, but there was never any evidence provided for these claims.  The attacks on small, open boats, unarmed civilian watercraft, were called murder by some in Congress, while the Navy and Trump defended the attacks as part of protecting the US from drug smuggling.

This is a pathetic statement since it happened at the same time Trump pardoned a convicted cocaine trafficker, the former Honduran President, Juan Orlando Hernández.  US officials said Hernandez ran one of the most significant and violent drug-trafficking conspiracies in the world.  He was sentenced to 45 years for conspiring to import cocaine to the United States, but Trump let him go because he said Hernandez was treated “unfairly.”

America: An Imperialist Nation

So, after 10 years of training to overthrow the socialist president of Venezuela, America’s imperialist pathology shows no signs of abating.

The US has always wanted control over the Southern Hemisphere, including Mexico, since it offered riches, cheap labor, and colonial benefits to US corporations.  Here is a list of US military actions in the Western Hemisphere since 1910:

This list does not include secret CIA or mercenary army operations and assassinations, such as the murders of Salvador Allende in Chile and Che Guevara in Bolivia, as well as elected presidents in Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and Venezuela.

So What If We’re Imperialists?

US military and CIA involvement in the Southern Hemisphere is nothing new.  It’s part of the Monroe Doctrine, a 1823 doctrine that warned European nations that the United States would not tolerate further colonization or puppet monarchs in the Western Hemisphere, unless they were regimes that favored and served US interests.

President John Kennedy almost started a nuclear war with Russia over the presence of Soviet missiles in Cuba.  Cuba was considered a threat to the US because of Fidel Castro’s successful communist revolution in 1959, which ejected a corrupt president (Fulgencio Batista y Zaldívar) and, more importantly, planted a communist state within 90 miles of Florida. 

Was Cuba ever going to invade the US?  Never. But Cuba’s ideology was more dangerous than its army, especially when it would oppose American imperialism in the Southern Hemisphere, and its monopoly capitalism.  

If Florida became communist, would it have been more corrupt than under the administrations of Ron DeSantis, the Medicare-Medicaid fraudster Senator Rick Scott, Governor Jeb Bush, who stole the 2000 presidential election, or the fact that Florida is now the fraud capital of the US?

The MAGA supporters who voted for Trump because he was not going to enter any wars should be surprised by the saber-rattling against Venezuela.  This is a country that most Americans cannot find on a map, yet its oil is a multi-billion-dollar addiction to Trump’s oil industry backers.

So, will America go to war with a country that never threatened the US just because it has oil?  The answer is “Yes.”

Look at Iraq.  Iraq had vast oil reserves, and when George Bush and the war criminal Dick Cheney made their case for invading Iraq to destroy those “weapons of mass destruction,” the Pentagon’s war planner said Iraq’s oil would pay for the war.

That never happened.  Nor did anyone ever find the “weapons of mass destruction.”  What did happen was that an estimated 200,000 Iraqis were killed, and the most significant exodus of Iraqis left their country to find safe havens in Europe and the Middle East.

The same will happen again in Venezuela if Trump and his lackeys in Congress cannot stop an American attack on an innocent nation whose only crime is that it is socialist and will not go along with US foreign policy and the dictates of the international banks.

Today, there is anti-Zionism, anti-Netanyahu, and anti-Semitism all being mixed in a flurry of rhetoric, hysteria, and panic that most major Jewish groups cannot, or don’t want to, untangle. Worse, they are unprepared to acknowledge the real sources of anti-semitism.

The causes of anti-Semitism predate the birth of Jesus, and have been persistent for over 2,000 years.  Almost every country in Western and Eastern Europe, and in the Arab Peninsula, has orchestrated pogroms for thousands of years.

The standard reasons for this have been that Jews are outsiders, control wealth and the means of production, including the media, banking, governments, and cause plagues, and have the political clout to lose wars.

Hitler called the Lenin-Trotsky Soviet Union “Judeo Communism,” and this trope lived until the McCarthy era and the treason trial of the Rosenbergs, who were accused of giving atomic secrets to the Russians.

But today, there are a few new causes of anti-Semitism that do not fit into the standard reasons national Jewish groups use when they raise the anti-Semitism issue to the national level.

Even the New York Times, which is reluctant to report on Jewish issues, had an article today that noted the Nazi influence on MAGA Republicans.  This is something this site has addressed for years.

The problem is that major Jewish groups, like the Republican Jewish Coalition, the Adelsons, and AIPAC, have funded MAGA candidates and Trump, because they either want to push a one-state Israel policy or push for tax breaks for their wealthy donors. Both groups are divisive, and they are the biggest threats to the cohesion of the US Jewish community because they take the false position that Trump is good for America and good for Israel. The majority of American Jews disagree. These same groups have also funded anti-Semitic groups via their party donations.

The RJC has also made public apologies for the attack on the US Capitol and the remarks of Marjorie Taylor-Greene about Jews.  The RJC also ignores that much of Trump’s support for Israel is done for the benefit of Evangelical Christians, not Jews.

In an article in the Tablet by Shaul Magid, that move was done to appease the Evangelicals, not Adelson, his Israel nationalist supporters, or the Israeli government.

“It is no accident that evangelical John Hagee gave the invocation at the U.S. Embassy’s move to Jerusalem. As Trump said afterward, ‘I did this for the evangelicals.’ On one (Zionist) Christian reading, the Jews may think they are exercising their right of self-determination. Still, they are really pawns, paving the way for the return of Christ (including the predicted end-time destruction of those Jews who refuse to accept Christ).

“But (Jewish) Zionists don’t care, because for them it is the Christians who are the pawns in the story of their own heroic redemption. Each is conspiratorial in its own way. And they can do business together,” according to the Tablet article.  

At another event, Evangelicals called Trump “the King of the Jews,” which should have alarmed most of Trump’s right-wing Jewish supporters.  But apparently, it had no impact on their blind support of Trump.

Trump is a bona fide mental case and criminal. For some reason, Trump backs Netanyahu and his party’s support of thug settlers, as the Trump regime exercises its corruption in plain sight. Jewish Republicans support Trump’s corruption and Netanyahu’s war policies, while American Jews, who are about 80% Democrats, oppose both. In response, Republican Jews said the Democrats have deceived their Jewish Democrat co-religionists since the end of World War I, when Jews started to become Democrats.

Anti-Zionism, Anti-Netanyahu, Anti-Semitism

To make the situation more complicated, today there is anti-Zionism, anti-Netanyahu, and anti-Semitism all being mixed in a flurry of rhetoric, hysteria, and panic that most major Jewish groups cannot, or don’t want to, untangle.  For example, in Israel and among many American Jews, there is a strong anti-Netanyahu sentiment.  Among Arabs and their sympathizers who call for a Palestinian state, there is anti-Zionism and anti-Netanyahu sentiment.  And among the hard-core, there is the old anti-Semitism.

This situation is very complicated, but the national Jewish groups–B’Nai Brith, ADL, AISH–that fight anti-Semitism have not adapted their strategy and messages for this new reality. Instead, they keep using the umbrella “Anti-Semitism” message since it has raised hundreds of millions for their respective groups. But this is a losing strategy in 2025.

So what do we have today in the American Jewish community?  Traditional Jewish groups conduct big educational campaigns and data gathering about anti-Semitic attacks, while simultaneously, Republican Jews help finance MAGA candidates and the MAGA party that foments the attacks. This is like an arsonist who starts fires and then helps the fire department extinguish the same fire.  It’s insane, but this is what is happening today.

It’s dangerous and wastes hundreds of millions of dollars.

However, all three–anti-Zionism, anti-Netanyahu, and anti-Semitism–are very different, so it is crucial to separate these themes.

Israel’s War Conduct

First, the recent spike in anti-Semitism stems from Israel’s invasion of Gaza and the West Bank in October 2022 and the resulting destruction of Gaza.  Videos of the smashed concrete building, leveled homes, and uprooted olive trees have the same impact on American audiences who saw the Vietnam War carnage on national TV.  In the 1960s and 1970s, those TV images prompted a huge anti-war sentiment that eventually drove President Johnson and the military from office.

Those same forces are valid today in fermenting anti-Israel sentiment.  This is anti-Israel sentiment, which is not the same as anti-Semitism. Still, the major Jewish groups—ADL, B’nai B’rith, AIPAC, the Republican Jewish Coalition, AISH, many rabbis, the Jewish media–do not make this critical distinction.

This version of anti-Semitism is anti-Israel, and it manifests itself when pro-Arab demonstrations confront pro-Israel supporters who are mostly Jewish.  It is not that they object to the Jews in front of them, but to Israel’s war policies that are being directed from thousands of miles away.

Jews Behaving Badly

Second, another cause of anti-Semitism is the sad fact that many Jews are in the news for illegal, unethical actions that have attracted international attention.  This includes the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal and the role of other Jews in the Trump

administration who are lightning rods for being hated.  This includes Steven Miller and some of the Jewish podcasters who are avid Trump supporters, such as Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin, and Laura Loomer.  Basically, Jewish supporters of the MAGA Trump movement work as propagandists for the MAGA movement, and aside from their blind support of Israel’s one-state solution and defense of the gangster settlers who terrorize Arab farmers in the West Bank, they don’t reflect any Jewish values.

Then, there is the growing awareness that the AI revolution, which is controversial and considered part of the new techno-fascism movement, is being run by AI firms that are owned/managed by Jewish technologists.

This includes Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg), Google (Sergey Brin and Larry Page), Palantir (Alex Karp), Oracle (Safra Katz, Gal Tirosh, Larry Ellison), crypto (David Sacks), Shift4Payments (Jared Isaacman), and OpenAI (Sam Altman).

Israel also plays a significant role in the AI revolution, and its aims remain unclear.  Its main public and controversial applications (Pegasus) have been on systems used for hacking, eavesdropping, and surveillance in anti-terrorism activities. In some cases, this software has been used to spy on civilian groups that oppose anti-democratic governments.

The fact that Jews own these firms, which have huge political and economic influence, and are closely tied to the Trump regime through large donations, could be considered another source of anti-Semtism.

The Mossad Connection?

Third, the Mossad connection.  Jewish groups avoid this topic since it often leads to nothing good.  The British newspaper magnate, Robert Maxwell, the father of Ghiselle Maxwell (Epstein’s partner and girlfriend), was linked to the Mossad.  His mysterious death only added to the intrigue. Now, stories about the Mossad’s link to Epstein, while unproven to date, could be the most significant contributor to a new source of anti-Israel sentiment, as opposed to anti-Semitic feelings directed towards Jews as a group.  If this connection between Mossad and Epstein is verified, it will open a whole new chapter in anti-Israel sentiment.

Fanning the Flames of Hysteria

The hysterical response to the election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York has been unfounded.  Nothing in New York has changed, and it will be months before we see how any of Mamdani’s policies develop, let alone how those policies affect the Jewish community.  This election has captivated the attention of the major Jewish organizations, but they have not addressed the sources of anti-Semitism listed above.

Instead, they have focused on the usual anti-Muslim, ad hominem attacks on Mamdani as one who opposes Israel, promotes the Palestinian national cause, and is anti-Netanyahu.  These are the standard attack themes, but many Israelis oppose Netanyahu and disapprove of his conduct of the war in Gaza and the West Bank.  If an election were held tomorrow, Netanyahu would be voted out of office.

Major Jewish groups that fundraise based on anti-Semitism should create a new category of anti-Semitism that is first, linked to Israeli policies, and second, the criminal, disgraceful, abhorrent behavior of American Jews.

The disgraceful behavior of Jews in a community is not new.  The Shanda stigma enforces Jewish community standards and breeds cohesion among those who want to be part of a community that performs good deeds and brings people together.

The Shanda list includes Jews who are divisive, criminal, predatory, and are an embarrassment.  Yes, these people exist.  They are also a source of anti-Semitism that is less visible than the Proud Boys, social media sensationalists, and Christian nationalists. It’s time for Jewish groups to expand their search for the causes of anti-Semitism.

Maybe they should adopt the old saying from the cartoon character  Snoopy: “We have met the enemy, and it is us.”
