Chuck Epstein (epstein.chuck@gmail.com) has held senior-level marketing communications positions at the New York Futures Exchange, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Russell Investments, Principal Financial, Zacks  Investment Research, and Lind-Waldock.

He is the author of the memoir, You Don’t Think I’m Beautiful (2016); How 401(k) Fees Destroy Wealth and What Investors Can Do To Protect Themselves (2012); Managed Futures in the Institutional Portfolio (1992); and The Handbook of Corporate Earnings Analysis (1994). He also has written by-lined articles for over 50 financial publications.

In 2009, this blog (https://theprogressiveinvestor.org) won first place in the best small blog category from the Society of American Business Editors & Writers (SABEW). Recently, he had an op-ed published (his second) in Barron’s on the need for mutual fund companies to designate a shareholder advocate to assure that shareholders’ interests are represented and protected.

He also won writing awards from the Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) in 2006, 2007, and 2008 for writing the best broker-dealer and/or shareholder newsletters in the large mutual fund category class.
